What the academy stores

The academy is a learning platform, so most of what it stores exists to give your learning back to you. The categories below reflect what the current application actually records.

  • Account information — the email address you sign in with and an optional display name.
  • Learning progress — which lessons you have viewed, how far through them you read, and which you have marked complete, along with the days you were active.
  • Assessment activity — your answers to knowledge checks and assessments, whether they were correct, attempt scores, and any written feedback generated for you.
  • Learning-activity responses — your work inside interactive activities and learning frameworks, including your written reasoning.
  • Reflections and journal entries — private writing you choose to save.
  • Mastery and confidence signals — records of demonstrated understanding and how confident you reported feeling, kept separately so uncertainty is never penalised.
  • Vocabulary and review state — glossary terms marked learned, and spaced-review scheduling.
  • Technical and platform information — standard information created by hosting and serving the site, such as request logs.

Artificial intelligence interactions

When you use the AI Learning Guide or an AI-evaluated activity, your message and the surrounding lesson context are sent to the academy's AI provider so a response can be produced. See the AI Learning Guide Disclosure for how the Guide is used educationally.

Who can see your work

Your learning records are scoped to your account by database access rules. Reflections and journal entries are private to you. Academy administrators hold elevated access for support and curriculum operations.

Why the academy stores it

To show you your own progress, to schedule review at useful intervals, to let the AI Guide build on what you have already demonstrated, to operate and secure the platform, and — in future phases — to determine completion of a program.

Your requests

You may ask what the academy holds about you, ask for corrections, or ask for your account and learning records to be removed. Requests are handled through the academy contact channel.

Questions about this policy

Until a published contact address is configured, students may raise questions, accessibility difficulties, privacy requests and complaints through the channel they used to enrol.
